Position: Branch manager

Location: Budapest, Hungary

 

Our esteemed business partner, one of the leading freight forwarding service providers in Hungary, is looking for a branch manager to join its dynamically expanding team in Hungary.

Focal areas of the role:

  • coordinating the work of 10 FTE operational professionals, team leaders, setting priorities, overseeing the entire freight forwarding process, providing quality customer service and ensuring an impeccable customer experience in favor of budget achievement,
  • mentoring, developing and evaluating assigned staff,
  • maintaining regular and pro-active contact with internal and external customers, subcontractors,
  • active participation in projects, the sales process in general, service development and implementation,
  • handling escalations, complaints, claims,
  • providing effective support to the work of associated departments.

 

The ideal candidate:

  • university/college degree and min. 5 years of management (team, department, or branch) experience in road freight forwarding at a company with similar size & service portfolio
  • excellent verbal and written communications skills in English as well as Hungarian
  • advanced knowledge of MS Office © (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • constructive yet pro-active attitude, flexibility, independence, able to work under high pressure in a competitive market and an international environment
  • advanced people management and communication skills as well as good conflict management and decision-making skills
